Field Losers and Bench Winners...What To Do Week 2

Started Blount (1) and had Tolbert on the bench (35) in week 1.

Are you the type that would IMMEDIATELY bench Blount in week 2 and start Tolbert?

Fill in the players names that best fit your team. Could be Dwayne Bowe and Steve Smith, Matt Shaub and Ryan Fitzpatrick and so on.

What's you fantasy philosophy for week 2 regarding field losers and bench winners?

Don't over-react to one week. You still have to look at the player and the match-ups and make an educated decision.

In your case, I like Blount to have a bounce back week. That doesn't mean I don't like Tolbert again, that is a tough call.

For me, a great example is my WR's in my local league. I have 4 great options in CJ, White and Fitz. Fitz and White didn't combine for what Britt got sitting on my bench. But with these 3 studs, Britt is going to do much more than 1 week to bump one of them out of the line-up.

Yeah, you don't want to panic. There's a reason you drafted a player where you did.

I would consider benching Blount if the Bucs play against an offensive powerhouse that could put them in a hole. Apparently Blount isn't the coaches' first choice to help the team play catch-up. But the Vikings don't look to be one of those offenses.

I agree with you guys.

Week 1 is the hardest for defenses to prepare for. All they have to go on (film wise) is last year. Of course, offenses know this and set make a game plan that offers some surprises.

TB knew Detroit would prepare for a tough game inside so they came out slinging (to everyone except they're top reciever from last year).

Jets did it, Carolina did it and oppositely, San Diego featured their Backs instead of Rivers arm.

In week 2, Minny will prepare for a gun slinging Freeman and get a face full of Blount. Rivers and VJax will check in against NE and I suspect you will see a lot more from NE's RBs. (though NE pretty much does what they want to whenever they want to).

Tolbert will ride pine again this week, but like Miller said, once the exception becomes the rule you have to be prepared to adjust.

I'm pretty satisfied with the results of week 1 and will make few changes. As far as Tolbert/Blount is concerned, well I can't help you there since we're in the league together. But I will give you a hint, you had the wrong guy on the bench, lol.
