Fantasy Impact of Gonzo trade

Tony Gonzalez now resides in Atlanta. Who moves up? Who moves down?

Is Tony a more or less valuable TE in Atlanta?

What does this do to Roddy White's value? Matt Ryan's value? Turner's value?

How about the impact in KC? How far should Cassel fall? How about Bowe? LJ?

Discuss.

I think, depending on the size of the league, Ryan becomes a sure first or second round pick for any re-draft or starting dynasty league.

Gonzo gives Ryan another target, especially in the endzone, and keeps teams from stacking the box and making the offense one-dimensional. The more Atlanta spreads out the defense, the more effective Ryan will be.

What does this do to Turner's value?

I would assume that they will try to bring his carries down this year by at least 50.

Of all 12 teams in the playoffs last year, Atlanta was 11th among them as far as pass percentage. They came in at 40% passing. Only Baltimore was lower.

Something tells me Atlanta will start to take the cuffs off Ryan a little more and see what he can do through the air.

More pass plays called = less attempts for Turner. Less attempts = less yards.

I also have to think that Tony will steal a few TDs from Turner, being such an effective receiver in the red zone.

Turners attempts drop. Like ER said, 50 seems to be a reasonable number. They kept ryan under wraps a bit last year, I see Roddy White's value going up, jekins going u, but gonzo staying where he is.

Gonzalez = Same; Goes from a QB with one year of production under his belt (Cassel) to a QB with one year of production under his belt (Ryan)
Ryan = Up; Another year of maturity/familiarity plus an added weapon. He'll probably be a top-10 QB, but nowhere near 1st or 2nd round in a non-keeper.
Roddy White = Up; Fewer double teams on the rare occasions when he crosses the middle, plus another year of development from Ryan.
Michael Turner = Same; Look for a more efficient year with fewer touches but similar production. Gonzalez will help by opening up the middle of the field, plus he's a capable downfield and in-line blocker.
Matt Cassel = Down; Change of scenery, only 1 legitimate weapon (Bowe) and a shaky running game. He basically has to re-prove himself before I draft him over the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Philip Rivers, or Ryan.
Dwayne Bowe = Down; Barring any unforeseen acquisitions, he'll have a CB and Safety on his butt all year.
Kansas City's TE = Up; The cupboard is now whatever is emptier than "bare". They basically have to draft a TE early this year, and if it's a pass-catching guy such as Chase Coffman, he'd be worth at least a high 2nd round pick in a dynasty league draft.

Going with this theme....
Gonzo - same. Young QB gets another target to move sticks. but this will still be a run first team with Turner and more carries for other backs. Still, that was KC's MO and Gonzo got his.
White - Even, he will have less double teams yes, but also less receptions as Gonzo will be a main target more. Still it will allow him more Deep passes...so all around evens out.
Turner - even or higher, if he can survive the # of carries last year...having another legit receiver to take the defense off stopping the run only frees him more holes later on.

As for KC....they are screwed. No Gonzo....O-line is iffy....and my gut suddenly fears a Crabtree pick now in the draft...losing a top OT or Curry to go with.
