Fantasy Football?

I was playing in the very early 80's when we had to keep all of our own stats that came mostly from the news papers. I like the computer version much better, lol.

So did you start it? :respect: I started in 89, and it was still the Monday paper then. Secret waiver wire picks in envelopes opened by atleast 3 owners in a back alley office!

ESPN did a 30 for 30 about fantasy sports. I missed it, but I think they talked about the inception of the fantasy sport

No not at all RC. I didn't stay with it either. It was a LOT of work to play back then. We filled up notebooks each season trying to keep up with the stats of not only our players but many others as well. Scouting had a whole new meaning way back then.

The Morning Advocate out of Baton Rouge sponsored a version of FF in the later 80's. They kept up with the stats and standings and it was much easier.

It all started with Baseball. Rotisserie baseball has been around for 20 or more years. As Football's preference grew, it only made sense that fantasy would hit football by storm.

I have played fantasy football since 86. Had a local league where we would pick the newspaper we would use to score the league.

Well, then I have all of you to thank for my hobbie. Though my friends and family would say it is more of an obsession! Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart.
