From cbssports.com,

Giants quarterback Eli Manning had an MRI on his right leg in the wake of his heel injury against the Chiefs in Week 4, but the passer believes all will be fine. Manning hurt his right heel in a non-contact injury in the Giants' 27-16 win. He still had some swelling and soreness Monday morning and got ice and stimulation treatment, then went through his strength program before attending meetings. He seems confident he'll play this Sunday: "I don't think (the MRI) is going to come back with any new information that it's worse than (we had thought)."

It is pretty much just swelling on the bottom of the foot and a hallmark sign of it is pain in the heel.

His $90 million dollar rear will be playing on Sunday. They are facing Oakland. Hell he could trot out there in a rascal and not worry about every being touched.

Updating an ongoing story, Ralph Vacchiano, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Giants are saying QB Eli Manning (foot) has a plantar fascia injury and not plantar fasciitis. Manning is still considered day-to-day.

What does this tell me? I don't know. I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express.

I will take a guess. IF it lingers, it becomes an "ITIS"??

Eli Manning did practice fully Friday. Makes him likely to play, not a lock, still check before the game. It also makes him likely to be pulled early if it becomes a blowout. The Raiders, remember.
