What has happened to E.Royal, in 2008 his stats were
91-rec 980-yrds 5-tds targeted 129 times

This season Royal has all but fallen of the map with 20-rec 158-yds 0-tds targeted 49 times, it's not like the Bronco's are ignoring him.

I think it's the biggest mystery of the 2009 NFL season. It's a much bigger mystery to me than the Broncos' overall season record, and that's saying something.

I don't get it... I'm clueless... what the hell happened?

My guess is that he is somehow tipping off when he is the #1 target, and it has been exploited. Just a guess of course.

Could be the change in the offense or the fact he was the #2 WR last year and the #1 WR this year.

He sure managed to set back my fantasy team in the early part of the season. I finally gave up on him and have regained first place but it took some doing in my $$ league.

Royal is still getting his share of targets he just isn't making plays.

Last year, the denver offense was wide open. The routes were set up so that defenders were blocked off or screened to free up YAC. This isn't that offense. Royal has had most of his targets in traffic, and he has not been able to get free. Plus Marshall is more like himself this year...and taking away targets.
