Ed Werder reports on SF QB

I think the 9er QB threw for the 6th fewest yards of the starting QB's this week or maybe it was 5th. The 9ers did get the win which is no different than they were doing with Smith. No doubt the newbie can run but everyone here knows what happens to running QB's and the teams that put their eggs in that basket.
 
Kap played well this game(let the niners as a whole dictate the pace of the game and no mistakes) Could have used that nice scramble/score last week. Didn't show me much that Smith couldn't do(besides that run) but the jury is still out on this one. If Kap and the niners don't make it to the superbowl then he will have not done more than Smith for me.
 
They should create some "kap packages" where he can rotate in and allow his athleticism and big throwing arm to shine. This is the clear answer.
