FLAGSTAFF — Cardinals wide receiver Early Doucet has started to take his first name seriously, and it seems to be paying off.
After injuries short-circuited his first two seasons in the NFL, Doucet got a jump start on his third year before everyone else, beginning his off-season training program before most players began their off-season, period.
"I don't think he took any time off," said fellow wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. "I remember when we left for exit physicals (after the season ended), he was working out already. I got back from my trip, he's working out. The guy's been working tirelessly to try to improve."
