Eagles release Garcia and sign Trotter

Looks like the Eagles are happy with the QB's they have and they sign Jeremiah Trotter and to make room they release Garcia.

I wonder if Parcells would have rather had a cut Garcia than a trade of a future draft pick for Thigpen at this point? Jeff likely could have played right out of the box too.

He's only 32 and it looks like he might finally be healthy again. We'll see where his body is but if he claims he feels as quick as when he was with the Redkins. Also, the Eagles are desperate for a linebacker and might as well try bringing Trotter back. They're not even going to ask him to do too much.

Personally, I like the move. Even if doesn't work there's nothing lost in trying. We don't need 4 quarterbacks.
