Well the hits just keep on coming....

Now they have to fill in at OT. Wonder if they resign Runyan...who is medically cleared to play again? dunno:

Been hearing about them signing Runyan for a couple weeks now. Looks like they may need to at this point.
 
This is one of the most bizarre meltdowns I've ever seen.

Shawn Andrews is almost certainly NOT hurt. The doctor cleared him to play and he did everything in his power to seek out contrary opinions. He got 'hurt' running gassers the first day back at practice... He simply has no desire to play football. The coaching staff got fed up with having to deal with him, even though he offers Pro-Bowl caliber talent on the O-line.

What an unbelievable waste of ability. He apparently suffers from depression, but you'd never know it from his ridiculous Youtube music videos.

Wow, so this goes back to the discussions we were having about him last season. I hadn't payed close attention to the injury siuation, just assumed he was actually hurt.

Technically we'll never know how hurt he is. What we do know is that every Eagles insider claims that the team doesn't believe he is hurt and that the diagnosis' he's received from the doctors dont seem convincing.

Andrews' career is probably over. He would rather get his michael phelps on than put his cleats on.
 
Now that the Eagles have released Shawn Andrews, are we looking at drafting another O lineman in the first round?

Unless they trade up or someone falls to them, there may not be anyone left who makes sense at their first round spot. Second and Third has some good value guys though.

No.

They just resigned Justice to play RT, where Shawn was supposed to play.

My guess is they will draft some OT depth, but later as stated above. My gut tells me its CB or DE that will be the target in the first round. I also would not be shocked to see them trade down, and gain extra picks if certain players drop.
 
Looks like Justice & Peters on the outside and Herremans, Coles, and Jean-Gilles on the inside.
With Shawn Andrews gone will we get a good look at (2008) King Dunlap and (2009) Fenuki Tupou? Or will Reid surprise us, as usual and trade out of the first round, looking for more picks?

My gut tells me they have a Cb or OL in mind at their spot. If that player is gone...then I look for them to trade down as in other years to gain later picks in this draft plus a solid pick in next years. Its the Eagle way.:thrash:
