Is this better than Bradley in your opinion PhiCin?
Maybe all of us that had Vick being pushed out the door in Philly had better rethink that. Foles sure can't play the type of offense that Kelly is known for. Funny he turned the job down a week or so ago to stay at Oregon then changed his mind. Could it mean theirs ncaa trouble of a serious nature headed to the Ducks? Those players in Philly better come to camp in shape or they'll regret it.
Vick won't be Kelly's decision. It will be the GMs and ownership. Cost is way too high, so I think he is still gone. I agree Foles can't run Kelly's offense, so my guess is they go for draft pick or maybe try a trade.
As for preference. I am not sure. I am somewhat glad they are staying with an offensives minded HC. It has worked well for Eagles. I have heard a lot of great stuff on Kelly, but to be clear I didn't follow him much, other than when Ohio State whooped him.
Key here will be - DC and defense they will run. Qb and CB this year. OL is key need as well.
But, I do think this was a better choice than Bradley.
Things will at the very least be interesting in Philly this year (when are they not). He has a team built for his offensive philosophy, but I'm not sure Vick is built for his offense. At face value, he seems to be.....but Vick will get broken in 1/2 running a read option all game long. He's just not big enough to take the pounding IMO. So even if they can get him to restructure and keep him (no way they keep him at his current salary) I see no way they don't get a Kelly type QB in the draft.

Rumors are flying.
1) supposedly Oregon was up for some punishment, not sure on what. Some speculate now it will be much bigger hit now.
2) He wanted roster control, and Eagles just gave up on Reid who had that. But think they may have given it to get him in.
3) He didn't like to do that college coach tours and talks and hob knobbing with alumni and such. So really wanted NFL, but wanted under his choices
