Matt Jones doesn't even have a team and probably won't this entire season, so I don't know how he makes these rankings. I would put Devone Bess or Greg Camarillo before Jones, which is saying something.

This list is another case of rookies being WAY up there. Crabtree, Nicks, Harvin, and Maclin all show up on the list before Vincent Jackson, DeSean Jackson, Housh, and Anthony Gonzalez.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, especially with the hit or miss history of WRs. Most rookies don't come in and pull an Eddie Royal or DeSean Jackson and you're going to have to use a roster spot for them for a year or 2 before you know if you have a bust on yours hands or not.

Steve Smith seems a little low on the list to me.

I feel that he would certainly be above Crabtree, but who else up the list can you make a case for Smith to be ahead of?

Steve is 30 years old, which is roughly 5 years older than most guys who are ranked above him. The only players either close in age or older than Smith that are above him are Moss, Boldin, and Wayne.

I think the fact that Smith is without an elite or young QB also hurts his value. At least with a guy like Boldin who has an old QB, his QB right now is still a stud, and there is a kid with some potential behind him. With a guy like Moss or Wayne, you know that they have a top tier QB tossing them the rock every Sunday.

I guess I didn't take this being dynasty rankings into consideration. But if I were drafting a guy for a year or two to produce, I would take Smith over Crabtree, Bowe, Edwards, and Jennings. I would probably throw Marshall into that category as well just because you can count on him to be suspended just about every year and I don't think he will have the same type of numbers he did with Cutler.

I totally agree on all except Jennings. I think Jennings and Smith are very close in value for a re-draft. The fact that they are so close in re-draft would put Jennings easily a ways above Smith in Dynasty.

Yeah I agree. In a dynasty draft where I am going to have these players for a few years, I would have to take Jennings over Smith.

Agreed.

The really tricky part is figuring how present value vs future value.

In a case of Steve Smith Vs Greg Jennings it seems pretty obvious when you break it down.

Steve Smith Vs Marshall, Braylon, or Bowe becomes more interesting.

Marshall and Braylon are really the only two WR's I try and stay away from. I'm not totally sold on Matt Cassel either. I'm sure he is better than Huard and Croyle but I don't think just with his arrival Bowes stats are going to increase dramatically. I look for Bowe to have a similar season to his first two. I'm really interested to see how Cassel does outside of New England. I think a lot of QB's could go to New England and put up similar numbers that Cassel did.

Obviously going with an older WR you would want your #2 and #3 to be players that could move into that #1 slot. I am not as high on White or Jennings as others and do not think either can do what the smurf still can.

Honestly, I love this list. It's pretty much exactly how would rank it. I may be inclined to drop Colston a spot or 2 but I think that's even pushing it. This list is pretty much spot on, IMO.

I like the spots of all of the rookies except I would change Crabtree and Maclin. As I said on my radio show yesterday, I believe that Maclin is in the best position to make an immediate fantasy impact out of all of the rookie WRs.
