Dynasty trade value

gruntbusters

hehehe...heheheh..hehe...
This trade involves ONLY picks in this years rookie draft. I am currently holding pick #5 in a 10 team dynasty league. One of our coaches has decided to jump ship and totally rebuild, netting him picks 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 out of the 1st 10.

He's wanting all over his picks together and is offering me pick 7, 15 (i don't have a second rounder as it stands), and the worst of 5 second rounders he's got in 2011. So potentially I'd be giving up #5 for #7, #15 and #20 (2011).

My goal is to add one young stud RB or WR and use next years pick to net another WR possibly or trade it. I'm seeing the order going something like this in our league:
1. Spiller
2. Mathews
3. Dwyer
4. Best
5. Hardesty
6. Probably Bryant or QB (Stafford)
7. D Thomas, Gerhart, or Gilyard (not sold on Tate)

What do you guys think? I'm guessing I get my choice of Claussen or McCoy at 15...

Do I give up #5 for a shot at 2 producers in the next few years? I've got a very old team and need to add some younger talent in a bad way.

Bryant looks like he could be special and a couple running backs could be productive on the right teams, but beyond that is a big lump of potential - nothing screams great.

So I don't see enough difference between what you get at 5th vs 7th, and the bonus pick makes me lean towards the trade.

Dude has obviously gone off the deep end and is blindly following some sort of rebuilding scheme.

The trade isn't bad as it is but I'd kick him while he's down....maybe get a player out of the deal.

heh..true enough...I think he feels like he's 3 years away from another championship...but I think he's crazy. Anyway, I pulled the trigger. Tried to kick him a bit more, but truly, this guy wasn't budging anymore. Turns out he really wants Bradford and Bryant at #5 and #6. He couldn't guarantee I wouldn't go QB or WR at #5..so he was willing to do this deal. I'm feeling good about it. Wasn't blockbuster, but was fun to look at anyway.

BTW, I'm feeling pretty good at being able to land a guy like Hardesty now depending on where he goes, but Thomas is all mine if I want him. It sucks drafting WR in the 1st round though...they hardly ever pan out.

Thanks guys for your input.
