Dynasty league concerns

Okay now that the Superbowl is over, and we start focusing on the NFL draft and combine, I am absolutely shocked at some of the early mock drafts out there.

Of the 5-10 I have looked at, the majority of the first round is defense and OL.

Most of the drafts have only 3-4 Offensive draftable players - usually seeing 2 Qbs and 2 Wrs. I have at least 5 mocks with NO Rbs drafted in the first, and a few with no Wrs drafted in the first.

Makes me wonder if it is worth keeping any draft picks in the dynasty leagues this year.

thoughts?

I don't think i would be trading away any on the cheap(though cheaper than last year for sure) but people will just be taking in the first round of fantasy what will be taken in the 2nd and 3rd of the real draft?

Granted, but is that worth the cost? Most dynasty leagues I have seen, or keeper leagues have a draft pick cost for keeping a player drafted this high....especially salary leagues. Not sure high salary or loss of high pick next year is worth it is it? For a 2nd or 3rd round NFL draft player?

While the elite talent seems to be stacked on the defensive and OL areas, I think there is a lot of depth at skill positions and feel there are some very good opportunities for very good players to land on very good teams which could be gold for some of these picks. Could be a great opportunity to stack up on youth on the cheap from owners who are simply reading mock drafts to determine the value of their draft picks. If someone if willing to let them go cheaply prior to the real deal, jump on it, I think you'll see demand rise one more owners see where some of these potential gems land.

This seems to be an ideal year to deal your early round draft picks for young up and coming players with guaranteed roles.

For instance, if an owner in your league has a solid team w/depth, you might be able to get a younger guy such as T.Y. Hilton (WR-IND) for your 1st round pick, assuming your trade partner possibly has an older QB and would like a shot at Geno Smith or Matt Barkley.

In any case with a dynasty league, you want to try and stay ahead of the curve and take a risk or 2 rather than be reactionary.
