(KFFL) Updating previous items, NFL.com reports Indianapolis Colts DL Dwight Freeney (ankle) confirmed reports Tuesday, Feb. 2, that he has a torn ligament in his right ankle. Freeney is officially listed as questionable for Super Bowl XLIV. "It's a torn ligament in the outside part of my ankle," Freeney said. Freeney added the swelling is down from what it looked like last week when "it was swollen the size of a baseball."
 
(KFFL) The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts DL Dwight Freeney (ankle) says the pain in his sprained right ankle is subsiding and he still hopes play in Super Bowl XLIV. Freeney said Wednesday, Feb. 3, that in addition to using an oxygen tent, he has been walking barefoot and in the Florida sand to strengthen the ankle. Although it's been a slow progression, Freeney says the ankle feels a little better each day.
 
(KFFL) ESPN.com reports Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio said he does not expect DE Dwight Freeney (ankle) to practice Thursday, Feb. 4. Freeney said he may see what he could do during practice Friday, Feb. 5.
