DUI for DJ Williams?

Heard DJ was picked up for DUI yesterday...any truth to that? Does it affect his status for this week?

Yes he did. How that affects this week is really hard to call as we haven't heard much about it yet. 2nd DUI so a 4 game suspension is almost coming for sure. But that is likely down the road as far as the League is concerned as they usually wait for the legal hammer to fall first. So the four games may be a next year thing. But teams sometimes hand out a one game suspension on their own and this could stop him from playing this week. Not all teams do it but a lot have so it kinda a 50/50 call. There a a lot of little factors that could play into such a decision. At this point it may be better to avaiod him if you can as it is a 4pm game. Now if you have a player you can insert Sun Nite or Monday night then you have a little more latitude. A lot depends on a players status a maginal player may be dropped outright.

Here as I merrily type away suggesting potential outcome a clue comes in on the newswires.

The Broncos are leaning toward suspending Williams for the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Chiefs,Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports.

Sometimes it is better to just shut up and wait awhile for more info. :grin:
