Draft Baloney: Help us cut through it!

In another thread the subject of coachspeak came up. basically, coachspeak is lying or at least being evasive when it comes to the truth! During the fantasy football season we suffer from the slings and arrows of coachspeak every week. Mostly it comes about in the form of lying or being evasive about injuries. The coach will pretend that he doesn't know if a star player is going to play this week even though he definitely knows that the star player will play. A lie he tells in order to try and confuse the opposing team have a negative effect on their game plan preparations. Also, it sometimes comes in the form of announcing a change in the game plan. something like like our backup running back Jerrious Norwood is going to get a lot of carries this week. So as a result we drag Norwood off of the bench and play him during a tough bye week only to have him get three touches in the game. The injury evasive coachspeak has us hunched over our computers 15 minutes before game time waiting to see if our players are going to play and hoping our Internet connection doesn't burp before we can make the changes. Fortunately, we have fantasy football communities like Sports Outlaw where we all band together and share our last-minute Intel in order to get our lineups correctly set. We huddle together in fantasy football unity, sharing and spreading the word from every pregame show across the nation. All this in order to ensure that the fickle fantasy football gods don't do their worst to us and our fantasy football fortunes.

That is the negative effects of coachspeak during the season but now we are quickly approaching draft time and coachspeak is rearing its ugly head again. Not only do we have coachspeak, we have GMspeak and the ownerspeak too. Baloney is king as they lie about current player status, free-agent pickups and who they're going to draft in a vain attempt to confuse the enemy, other teams, about their intentions during the off-season and the draft. so it is time to help your fellow Outlaws and give us some insight about what your favorite team really needs. You swear allegiance to your team and watch them all time, let us know what you think. Name the two or three positions you think your team should address during the draft and free agency. Maybe you haven't done a detailed analysis of the draft for your team, speculating on specific players to pick, like some of us. But you do as a rabid fan of your favorite team know where the biggest holes are. Give us an insight as to what positions are most needed on your favorite team or any team for that matter. Let's cut out the coachspeak and the baloney. Listed two or three most important positions your team needs to fill!

Dolphins, in order of need:

WR
SOLB
NT
TE
RB

I can guarantee you that the first three positions are going to be addressed within the first three rounds, although in the order they are addressed is going to vary depending on who falls and who doesn't. On the subject of WR, the Fins are looking for a 6'3"+ guy with a prototypical build and speed rather than just another body; so look for Dez Bryant or Demaryius Thomas to be the selection. NT and SOLB can be addressed in the second or third rounds and I suspect the Fins will try hard to double down on SOLB (one early and one mid-late), as is their habit with question mark positions.

Finally, don't be surprised if the Fins move players for picks and if they trade down when it's possible. They're going to be looking to fill out the roster with young studs for a run this year, because there's no guarantee of a draft for 2011, never mind a season. This is largely motivated by the knowledge that the patience of my fellow Dolfans isn't unlimited.

Eagles:
westbrook gone
McNabb will stay
Vick will probably be dealt

Needs:
Lb - looking at draft and FA. Bullock from Tenn, or Pierce from NYG possibilities
DE - need another rush end to pair with Cole
S - need a dawkins replacement. Look for Mays in first round
Cb - need depth and future replacement for Brown

Steelers (In order of MY preference):

O-Line - Top-10 QB, Bottom-10 Line doesn't add up
Free Safety - Polamalu needs a pass defending compliment
Cornerback - Didn't get an INT from a CB until last game of the year
MLB/OLB - J. Farrior is old and J. Harrison is aging
3-4 Nose Tackle - Hampton just re-signed but is way on the wrong side of 30
3rd down type RB - Parker is likely gone and Mendenhall needs a speedy running mate
