Donte Stallworth to be reinstated

Donte' Stallworth, WR CLE
News: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said Friday that Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth will be reinstated from his suspension for killing a pedestrian while driving drunk. At his annual Super Bowl-week news conference, Goodell said Stallworth's suspension will be lifted after the Super Bowl on Sunday. Goodell said he met with Stallworth about a month ago, and the receiver is "in a better place than he was." Goodell said Stallworth recognized what he did wrong and has prepared himself to return to the NFL. Stallworth spent 24 days in jail for a DUI manslaughter conviction in the case. The accident occurred last March in South Florida, and he was suspended without pay last August.
Analysis: The Browns will likely wait until after reinstatement before announcing their intentions, although it's possible he will be released. He made just seven starts for the Browns in 2008 because of injuries, with 17 catches for 170 yards. "We really haven't (made a decision)," Browns general manager Tom Heckert said. "It's something Randy (Browns owner Randy Lerner) is probably going to be involved in as well. We'll have to discuss it as an organization."

Does he deserve it?

Browns | Plan to release Stallworth before receiving bonus Sat Feb 6, 11:12 AM

Tony Grossi, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports the Cleveland Browns will release WR Donte' Stallworth, but the formality of an announcement may not come immediately, according to a source. The red-letter date regarding Stallworth is March 20. If he is on the team's 80-man roster on that date - the 15th day of the 2010 league year - he would earn a $1 million roster bonus. The Browns do not intend to pay it, so Stallworth will be released by then.

speculation at this point, but also quite probable.

If the law is satisfied, and Goodell is satisfied, who am I to not be?

Things would certainly be more interesting if wasn't already so darned irrelevant.
Maybe if he killed some dogs there would be a little more buzz. Dunno
