Omar Kelly, of the South Florida SunSentinel, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown's contract has an opt out clause at the end of the 2009 season.

This is actually pretty interesting.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus believes client Ronnie Brown is headed for a big year with the Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post. Rosenhaus said, "He has got a lot to play for. He could become one of the highest-paid running backs in the league and do a big extension with the Dolphins or the Dolphins could have another starting running back next year. This year is a pivotal year. He is at the crossroads in his career. So far he has done a heck of a job in the off-season and looks like he is going to have an outstanding season."

Rosenhaus isn't Brown's agent, he was just commenting on Brown's situation. And I don't know if the opt-out clause is iron-clad or if it depends on his status as an RFA (which depends on the status of the CBA).
