Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown Arrested for Suspicion of DUI

Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown spent Friday night in an Atlanta-area jail after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Brown was pulled over for making a lane change without using his blinker late Friday during an offseason trip to his hometown of Rome, Ga. Brown, who has no prior arrest record, was released from jail early Saturday morning.

The Miami Herald called all the PDs in the county he was supposedly arrested in and NONE of them have an arrest on record for Ronnie Brown. They interviewed a sheriff that knows Brown and looked into the matter himself and the sheriff claims he can't find anything.

Again, I reiterate, there is nothing to show that this actually happened. The entire report is by "unnamed sources" and completely unsubstantiated.

In which case it's now substantiated, at the time I posted previously it was not. It's not like I actually care whether he was arrested or not, I just care that yet another athlete might be possibly slandered.

The report says Brown failed a field sobriety test and had a blood alcohol level of .158 when given a breath test. The limit to legally drive in Georgia is 0.08.
