Dolphins interested in Ahman Bradshaw.

The Miami Dolphins may show interest in New York Giants impending free-agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw once free agency begins. This is more interesting than it would be due to the no CBA angle this off season. Right now we have no free agency until the bargaining brings about a new agreement.

Right now, a lot of NFL predictors..... uh, reporters are going with. "teams are working from the assumption that the new CBA will return eligibility for unrestricted free agency to four years service."

But there are others who say the same rules will be in effect as before. Right now under the old rules Bradshaw has 4 years, is a restricted free agent, and is tendered with a second round pick. Meaning other teams have to pay him more then the tender offered salary and give the Giants a 2nd round pick.

If it switches to 4 years for becoming a free agent Bradshaw is completely free to sign with any team he wants to.

bradshaw would be crazy to leave the giants . . . unless he just liked warmer weather . . . and then i can completely understand . . . ;)

That's what could make this years Free Agency period very interesting when it comes. Depending on the deal struck there could be many more free agents who are completely free to move between teams. Those teams with more cap room could be picking some very nice talent this off season. Bradshaw is looking for a nice 3-4 year contract for good money at this point, deservedly so.

Under the old rules teams need to outbid the Giants and give up a second round pick too, which gives the Giants an advantage.

If the new rules make him a free agent then other teams just have to out bid the Giants, which is easier to do. I would like to see Ahman stay with the Giants myself but it may come down to if he will give the team a hometown discount to stay.

It had slipped by me that he mgiht go elsewhere's I guess. All the talk I had been hearing was speculation on what would become of Jacobs. He loses value anywhere else, in my opinion.
