There's mobile and then there's a legitimate hot rod in the form of Newton.
So far what Ive read has Newton going to the Vikings at 12 overall. I think Miami would need to move into the top 10
Not sure there is any way Cam makes it to 12. 10 to Washington seems like his floor IMO. Cincinnati at 4 might be his ceiling. Arizona, SF, & Ten all possibles in between. I think we see Newton as the "buzz" player of this draft. Right now I see #4 at his ceiling, but we have seen hpye machines go crazy before and with Carolina and Buffalo in the top 3, you could start to see rumors that way if he continues to impress prior to the draft.
I would argue that for Miami to be solid in AFC East, they need a horse Rb to depend on. Brown isn't it. My gut feeling is Ricky is gone after he shot his mouth off. Most mocks have them getting Ingram, and I think thats a better fit. They need to focus on run game, and O-line, to control the clock. Henne isn't awful, but if he has to carry the team they are doomed. They could then swing around and maybe target a Qb later, or for for one of the big FAs.It's hard to tell what the Dolphins might do. They are a pretty good team across the board but with the Pats and Jets in the same division they need to get a lot better in order to crack the top of their division. Getting a Cam Newton and devoting an entire offense to his unique talents may be the best play. If they were in another division they might be able to go with a just get generally better mode but in the AFC East that will get you hanging in third place for the next few years.
