Dez vs AJ Green

Am I missing something or is it just fall out from last year when Green was injured? In 12 team redraft (start 2 RB) , Dez is going top 6-10 while AJ is falling to the end of the 2nd. Is there really that much difference between them if both are healthy? I don't think so, but apparently, I'm in the minority. Is it the Dalton factor?

Just curious.

Dalton factor certainly plays a part. Also think Bengals will commit more to the run this year with Hill in the backfield. Dez on the other hand gets a boost because Romo has the edge over Dalton and with Murray leaving and none of the rbs stepping up Dallas figures to throw more. All that said I could see 8 wrs as the top fantasy wr this year and Aj is on that list. I just think he has a few more questions.

If you asked me which I would prefer a top 3 or 4 rb and AJ or Dez and the 7th or 8th best rb I'd take AJ and the top 4 Rb. But if I had to draft late first round Dez would be on my radar, AJ would not.

Yeah, that's what pretty much happened in our 12 team local draft on Sunday. Took Lacy at 3 over Charles and then landed AJ at 22. Thought I got a bargain.

Dez owner offered me Dez for AJ, Decker and CJ Spiller. Thinking about it, but would leave me really thin at RB and not sure if the difference between Dez and AJ is worth losing some depth. Usually, I'm all over a 3-1 deal when I get the better player, but not so sure here.

Thanks for the input.

Depends who else you have on the roster but I would be inclined to pass. I really like Spiller this year. Especially in ppr leagues. Of course he has to stay healthy, but if he does think he is a very solid rb2 that can be had in the draft at a round typically where you get rb3s

Dalton is absolutely the problem.

Also, there are simply more mouths to feed in Cincy. I like their WR talent and depth better than Dallas, and when you already have a lesser QB, there are simply less yards and TDs to go around.

I feel like AJ did the bulk of his damage so far in his career as the main show in town. If Marvin Jones can build on his 2013, and Sanu can perform well as a 3, with Eiffert taking a likely step forward, there are just less balls to go AJs way.

Kinda seems like Joe Haden has Greens # too. That probably has a lot to do with Dalton as well but.... They do face off twice a year and Greens #'s might be limited in those matchups. Just something else to consider.

To be fair, I think Joe Haden has his rolodex maxed out with people's numbers

Aj still put up good numbers when he was healthy last year, but people are extremely afraid of daltons inconsistency and the fact that some of his throws are getting Aj laid out. I think having eifert and jones back will actually help some of the coverage away from Aj. Getting him at 22 is still a bargain. Personally the only Wrs I would take ahead of him in a redraft league are dez, obj, Julio, and brown.

I for one think it is a lack of faith in Randle and McFadden. Dallas ran like crazy, but Dez still did well. This year Murray is gone and Randle and McFadden have not showed much, so expectations are rising for more Dez.

I will add Cincy would much rather run the ball all day if it means a win, they will win with Hill and Def. Green will still get his, but the long deep balls will go to Marvin Jones, not Green so much.
