ran what I thought most had him pegged at, the 4.5 to 4.6 range. He's not a speedster.

Gil Bryant, of NFL.com, reports among the front office personnel and coaches that attended Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant's workout included Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary and director of player personnel Trent Baalke, Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy and director of college scouting John Dorsey, Baltimore Ravens wide receivers coach Jim Hostler, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers coach Eric Yarber and Oakland Raiders scout Cliff Branch.

Oklahoma State WR Dez Bryant reportedly forgot his cleats for Tuesday's workout, causing his numbers to drop while wearing shoes that hadn't been broken in. NFL Network's Mike Mayock pointed out during the workout that Bryant was slipping during his forty-yard dash. If the reports of a 4.32 forty during training last week are to be believed, Bryant would have run faster Tuesday if not for the slipping. Bryant posted highly impressive numbers in the vertical (38 inches) and broad jump (11'1"), but he didn't finish the short shuttle or the three-cone drill.

Speed is over rated.

Sure it'd be nice to have a 4.3 guy that could catch, run routes and muscle his way through defenders, but give me a guy who can do those last 3 and you can keep your 4.3 speed.

Do Johnson, Moss, Wayne or Fitzgerald have 4.3 speed?.....Just asking.

I find it hilarious, I saw an article today that says his basement is the #21 pick with Cincy. I would LOVE to see him fall that far and Cincy grab him.

I still think he gets taken by Cleveland though

The risk is seriously outweighing the reward now with Bryant. I'd rather take Tate or Benn, to be completely honest.

Could you clarify the risk you are referring to. Is it just the speed? Is it the mental aspect of forgetting his cleats and what that may imply? Is it other issues?
