According to the Washington Post, "it would not be surprising" if Devin Thomas begins to climb the depth chart in short order.

Beat writer Jason Reid suspects Thomas could "start early in the season," if not by Week 1. Impressive while running with the second-team offense in the Skins' preseason opener, Thomas led the team in receiving and scored on a 44-yard bomb from Rex Grossman. Thomas must continue to avoid mental setbacks, but he surely has more to offer than 39-year-old Joey Galloway.

McNabb usually produces a good #2 WR around him and he had used a wide variety of players as that good #2 WR. Maybe McNabb brings Devin Thomas out of his shell and makes one out of him.
