Devery Henderson is one of the Saint's top 3 WR's

I guess that's a no brainer with camp just getting under way but the Times-Picayune felt the need to say it so I repeated it here. Last year Devery saw 50 targets and the Times is predicting a big jump in that number this season. Me, I'm not convinced he'll stay in the top three as the season goes by. No doubt he's got wheels but IMO his concentration wanes at times and that's concerning to me as a Saint's fan. I expect that Toon or Morgan will be pushing him hard for targets and don't forget Adrian Arrington. At least one and perhaps two of the last three receivers mentioned won't make the final roster but watch out for whichever one does hang on with the club.

He isn't a top 3 target, though, regardless of what Toon or Arrington do. Colston, Graham, Moore, and Sproles/Thomas/Ingram are all going to get their targets. He's still probably the fastest guy on the team, and I don't know what role Joe Morgan would play, but one area of value for Devery could be as a deep threat. Just don't expect consistent, game-to-game production (which Meach never delivered, either).

yeah i have devery every year... you'll get a couple... then.. nothing... could be a product of speed killing on offense earlier in the season, guys not as sharp running routes underneath, broken coverages by safeties in newer systems etc

time it right and you'll get like 2 great games a year....other than that, you're not getting much.

Where is Lance Moore in all this "Saints Will Be Great" discussion?

One less mouth to feed (barring rookies) and it's pretty obvious that Moore and Brees have something special. (Brady and Welker-ish).

Without Peyton there to push his 10 target agenda, Moore could easily become Brees' go to guy and then some.

we did see some flash outta moore... graham is just too freakish and sick though... since brees can hit any target, and even while blanketed graham can still catch and create a window... id see graham as target 1

yeah, I'm with Giz, Brees has a new go to guy, it's Graham. I'm not sure Moore is in the top 3 in "go to guys". Brees has a "welker type" and it's not a WR or TE, it's Sproles. He is his safety valve. Colston is the most targeted WR. So with that in mind, that pushes Moore to a #4 IMO.

In other news the reporters at WWL Radio last night reported that Henderson was seen breathing air and swallowing lots of gatorade after practice ended.

or the trainer shoving a banana down his throat... like chris harris (playoffs 2nd rd vs carolina 2005)
