rotoworld,
The Denver Post's Mike Klis expects WR Demaryius Thomas (foot) to return to practice no later than August 30.

Klis could tell from watching Thomas and Eric Decker work on the side last week that Decker was further along. Thomas wouldn't have been working out in front of the media, however, if he wasn't getting close to a return. Thomas has the ability to be an impact player, but he's missed too much time in OTAs and camp to count on a big role early in the season.

rotoworld,
Updating a previous item, coach Josh McDaniels announced that Demaryius Thomas (foot) will return to practice Tuesday afternoon.

The Broncos got a wave of good news on the injury front, as Correll Buckhalter (back) will also return with LT Ryan Clady (torn patellar tendon) and RB LenDale White (ankle) expected to follow suit on Wednesday. Things were just beginning to click for Thomas when he re-injured his foot two and a half weeks ago. He'll be eased back in, but he should be ready for a situational deep threat/red zone role by Week 1.

Poor, hard-luck kid.

rotoworld,
Vic Lombardi of CBS 4 in Denver reports Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas has once again re-injured his left foot. The Denver Post confirms the report.

There's no word yet on the severity until Thomas is evaluated further. Lombardi suggests it could be anything from scar tissue breaking up (routine) to another stress fracture (major). Thomas just returned to practice on Tuesday, so the setback suggests his foot may not have been ready for football action. We'll update as information becomes available.

rotoworld,
X-rays and an MRI taken Wednesday confirmed that Demaryius Thomas does not have a stress fracture in his troublesome left foot.

Thomas isn't going to be ready for Week 1, but has at least avoided a potentially season-ending injury. The 22nd overall pick in April's draft remains a poor bet to make an impact before midseason. Thomas broke the foot in mid-February, and it still hasn't healed. Expect Jabar Gaffney to open the year as Kyle Orton's favorite target, with Eddie Royal behind him.
