D. Williams, Turner, LT, or WR at 4

You don't think stewart will hamper d. williams efficacy as a potential top 4 rb? Because if your saying your drafting him at 4, then you saying you think hell be top 4

Has to be Turner. I like DWill just fine this year, but remember when you pick him you don't get retroactive stats.
Ask yourself this: What seems more realistic for 2009? Turner getting 17 TD's or Williams getting 20? Who's cutting into Turner's goal line workload? Nobody. DWill isn't even his team's primary goal-line option.

If this is a 1 point per reception format for all players, I would listen to an argument for Andre Johnson, or maybe even L.T. over Turner but that's about it.

If you take Turner at your 1.04, I'd look hard at a high-reception WR at the end of the 2nd (Wayne?), then maybe come back with a decent pass-catching RB at your 3.28 slot, if there's one available. If by chance a guy like Slaton or Westbrook falls to you at that 2nd round selection, it would be hard to pass on them.

That is exactly what my plan is. And then swing around and pick up a Ryan Grant, Kevin Smith, or Pierre Thomas with my 3rd pick. In the mocks I have been doing where I picked Turner at 4, I got a WR with second, RB with 3rd, WR with 4th, RB with 5th to get depth....of course things change depending on what is available. But that is the overall strategy.

Heck yeah man. I love Smith and Thomas both, especially in PPR formats. Sounds like you have a good grasp on how to tackle your early rounds.

Yeah, not ppr league but I definately like them. I am starting to get high on Ryan Grant too. Now I just have to get a grasp on how I will draft from the 6 spot

I grabbed DWill off waivers around week 3/4 last year in my main $$ Keeper league. Performance scoring so the longer the TD the more points you get. 0/10 yds = 6pts, 11/20 = 8, 21/30 = 10, etc... Rushing or Recieving up to 20 pt max
DWill racked them up for me in the longer yardage TDs. I don't think he was the short yardage guy last year was he ??

I don't remember either...I feel as though Turner though would get me at least 10 td's this season...I don't see how he couldn't. Anyone know if D. Williams was goal line back last year?

I never said that. But the thought of Jonathan Stewart being 100% healthy again scares me. I doubt williams can repeat last year.

:wtf: When has that happened??:headscratch:

Oh, by the by..those so worried on DeWill. His ONLY real competition for caries is still hampered by pain in his Achilles Tendon. So bad he cannot practice more than once a day...if that. Color me unimpressed to worry how much he will steal from DeWill....and the fact that the HC is loyal to his starting back.

I'm definitely not poo-poo'ing Williams. I like him in the late first/early 2nd though better than I do at 4 overall.

If memory serves, he did more of his damage from outside the 10 than up close in goal-line territory. So in Big Play leagues I would certainly bump him up significantly.
