  • The Nashville Tennessean reports Titans TE Alge Crumpler's two-year contract expires at the end of the 2009 season. With rookie TE Jared Cook, the position looks crowded. TE Bo Scaife recently signed his franchise tender and TE Craig Stevens, a blocking tight end, is back for his second season. "It's good for the team," said Crumpler, who added that he wants to return in 2010 and plans to mentor Cook, who in the offseason also lives in Atlanta. "I had an understanding that they were probably going to bring a guy in, knowing that this is my last year under contract, and Bo didn't have a long-term contract."

You should be. This is a TE that when healthy can produce at a pretty decent level. He can also mentor a TE you could pick up in 2010.

Crumpler is not worth a pick at this point and I expect him to be released at some point this summer.
