From cbssports.com,

Michael Crabtree, WR SF
News: He might be a rookie who has yet to play an NFL game, but there has been lots of praise for Michael Crabtree based on his work in practice this week. The Santa Rose Press-Democrat Tweeted that Crabtree "looks the part on the 49ers practice field" and has looked quick and had good hands. 49ers offensive coordinator Jimmy Raye said this week that Crabtree has progressed much faster than expected, especially in learning the playbook, but that it hasn't been determined if he'll start on Sunday. "At this time, we really hadn't made any decision," Raye said, "but he has handled the stuff that we've given him pretty well, the nuances of going to play and having the conditioning to play more than what we thought is still up in the air."
Analysis: Raye added that Crabtree would "play half the time," suggesting that he'll see a decent amount of work in his NFL debut.

I could see starting him as a three but certainly not any higher than that on my roster. What say the Outlaws?

Keep in mind that this week is hit pretty hard with bye weeks. Because of that, could see starting him as high as a number 2 this week. Idealy he'd be no higher than a 3 or flex.

I feel he is a valid start this week beings that the organzation is gonna try to help put this whole debacle behind them and the player. They will work very hard to assure that Crabtree has an impact for both the 49er's and the player. (See Braylon Edwards first week with Jets)

I also feel they could lose the game on a pick 6 meant for Michael!

In SOFFL He won't be in my line up this week as my WR corp is pretty good. I can afford to use the prove it to me first formula. While I really didn't need him at all in SOFFL I did pick him up when he became available. Not so much in the sense that I needed him But in the sense that I need him not to be on anybody elses team. I consider this to be a defensive WW move, use a roster spot to keep a talent away from another team.

Now there are some other teams, if I had him him I would probably give him a try this week as another option at say #3.
