Cowboys WR Williams might not be released after all...

The Cowboys' official website considers WR Roy Williams unlikely to be released this year.
All of the guaranteed money from Williams' six-year contract has been paid out. He'd be a prime candidate to be released at $5.1 million in base salary if the labor rules default to 2010 status. It's a different story if a salary cap is re-established this year, though. Owner Jerry Jones was willing to take a cap hit when he released Terrell Owens back in 2009, but he'd be responsible for a monstrous $12.9 million against the cap by axing Williams.

Ugh...another year of crap production.

One has to wonder if some of these decisions aren't driven by the uncertainty of the current state of the NFL.

 Assuming they get a CBA in place and anti-trust litigation is dropped, you have to assume there will be a cap again. I have to then assume the GMs know this, and will wait to make plans and decide moves on existing rosters until that $ amount is known.

Every day Roy Williams is in a Dallas uniform is one day too long. I think he needs a change of scenery....maybe some cheesesteaks.... Liberty Bell..... hanging with Michael Vick.... yeah....
