First it was Javon Walker asking for only the league minimum to get another chance.

Now Mike Williams is getting checked out by his former coach in Seattle.

Any other forgotten souls making a come back... Who was that workout freak in Arizona...
 
would this be the proper place to talk about Favre and his on again/off again chatter ? And any word about this silly fool if he is coming back or not?

I don't consider him a come back personally. My thinking is there is no question he will return and the team knows this - this is simply how he can avoid all the preseason rigors.
 
If you believe the rumors, Garcia will be back with Philly this year as back up. Supposedly the Eagles will deal or cut Vick...and sign Garcia...and draft youth for long term back up.

Just a rumor...but it has legs.

I remember reading something about that. Can't say I see the sense in that unless there is a much lower sticker price and they think Garcia would be of more help helping Kolb continue to develop.

The belief is Vick is not the same type of qb as Kolb. He needs more of a moving pocket and running game...where Kolb is more a pocket passer. Thus he won't make a solid back up since they would have to change the offense.

Garcia would be a vet with a ton of experience to work with Kolb, knows the offense as he has run it before and could take the playbook as is.

We will see if it actually happens. I for one am NOT a Vick fan...so I would be all over for this. Add a solid young Qb to groom for depth in this or next draft...and it is good to go.

Although I do not consider myself a Vick fan I am not on the Garcia bandwagon at all. He doesn't strike me as having anything to contribute that Mc wasn't able to. I'd rather keep Vick as a change of pace QB myself.

Garcia has nothing to do with McNabb. McNabb had to be dealt, to get value since they were not going to re-sign him.

The question is who is your back up if Kolb gets hurt. We can disagree here. But I don't want a "change of pace" Qb. I want a guy who can come in and replace my starter and play like my starter. That isn't Vick. Garcia has done this in the past.

My issue is that I consider Garcia as done. Vick can do quite a bit more in my opinion. He also has the advantage of being your change of pace/wildcat QB even w/o an injury to Kolb.
 
The Mike Williams tryout in Seattle has lead to a signing. Is there any chance he could have changed his ways and become a...


Naaaah, I'm not going down that road again.
