ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed Garcon recently rejected a five-year contract offer from the Colts.

With no numbers being reveled yet it is hard to gauge if this is more about the money or rumors that Garcon doesn't want to stay there.

If i were him i would want to stay there. He has a better shot of being a stud if he stays. Maybe it's the length of the contract. Indy's future is still up in the air right now with little certainty. maybe he wants a 1-3 year deal. I know I would be scared to sign 5 years with the colts right now after last season's debacle.

A 5 year deal is kinda tough. 2-3 years you get a shot at maybe another big deal down the road. After 5 more years you may be a little long in the tooth to get another big deal.

I'm with Mud here, if he turned down a 5 year deal he's crazy. Unless the money sucked, the 5 year deal is his golden parachute.

Really I see little to no chance that his stock will rise above where it is right now and I can't see other teams being as hungry to land him as the Colts should be right now.

Without the details it's hard to take sides on this one. If the money was good, he is crazy for not taking it. Garcon had a lot of drops last year and wasn't very stellar. I can't see his stock going any higher.

The Colts' five-year contract offer recently rejected by free agent Pierre Garcon reportedly "hovered around" $35 million.
SI.com draft analyst Tony Pauline is just passing along rumblings from the Combine, but if this story is true, Garcon is fooling himself to believe he'd command more than $7 million annually in a historically saturated wideout market. Pauline also passes along "buzz" that Marques Colston, a far superior receiver to Garcon, is pursuing $7 million a year. Garcon should have taken the offer from Indianapolis, and he'll find out why in a couple of weeks.

I find that tough to swallow.
unless he just wants out of Indy.

there could be one saving grace for Garcon here -
he's betting all or nearly all f/a wr's will stay put.

I think it shows that he has an over inflated view of his skills. Without Manning we'll see how good he really is/isn't.
