Colt McCoy still the subject of trade rumors

A news paper in Akron still insists that Colt could be traded before the season saying that his presence could be a distraction for Weeden. With a salary of only $540,000 it could yet happen. The Packers were said to have shown some interest during draft weekend talks and might I suggest that my Saints could be in the market for an experienced signal caller as well. Each story that brings my Saints to mind makes me a little sicker. I think I'm done with stories today that might in anyway bring the Saints to my brain.

Nope, not mobile enough, nor has the arm strength.

I do think Colt could be an outstanding Back up Qb. I also think Cleveland is a fool to deal him. Weeden is their expected future, but why let a cheap solid option go....just to save feelings. Plus the other Qb options suck in Cleveland. If Weeden struggles, Colt takes over, and maybe you garner value and trade him later....unlike S.D. with Brees and Rivers.
Hell, if I was Cleveland, I would sit Weeden, let him learn, and let Colt be killed until I get the Wrs I need to run a real NFL offense.

I agree with you both Miller and PhiCin and PhiCin touched on some important points for Cleveland to consider.
