Colston signed for 5 years with Saints

I agree completely. They overpaid for this clown, and they have emerging options that will be better in the next two years. Dumb move.

I dont think he has any attitude problems or anything. He came from nothing and became a legit #1 WR and now should be paid but I think the saints have played well even when he was injured. They cut ties with reggie bush last season which was smart and he was much more instrumental for the city compared to colston.

He might be a great guy. But in so far as a WR role, I think we have already seen his peak and he will not be worth anywhere near what they are paying him.

dunno, I don't think this is a bad contract. 8 mil a year for an upper tier WR. Injuries are my biggest concern with him, he has a good attitude, plays hard and can dominate at times.

I think the Saints screwed up.

Instead of making Brees feel appreciated by giving him a contract worthy of his value, they punch him in the face with the franchise tag. Then they give the "we love you" contract to a mediocre talent that would be dirt if not for Brees.

Now they have a disgruntled QB and a WR with no reason to perform.

The Bills fully expect to sign WR Robert Meachem within the next 24 hours, wgr550.com's Joe Buscaglia reports. Meachem, who was brought in by Buffalo for an official visit on Tuesday in a quick move by the Bills.

I thought that keeping the guard was much more important for the Saints but hey, Loomis put this team togeather so I'm not going to argue with what he chooses to do.

I think they had to keep Colston. They only have Moore in the hole right now I believe, and with the loss of meachem they need Colston on the outside. I agree though....the OG is really needed. I hear though that the big Easy is after Grubbs, not Hicks
