With New York getting the SB in 2014 it sparked a good debate on weather cold weather Super Bowls are good ideas or not. So what's your take?

I love it. Tired of the NFL catering to warm weather climates or domes for Super Bowls when the game is meant to be played in all types of weather.

Thanks Mike.

It can certainly tip the scales one way or the other but it's what football is all about.

I'm a fan of a cold climate super bowl - a warm climate doesn't even guarantee good weather. Remember the Bears/Colts SB? Rain can be just as much of a problem as snow and a huge percent of the games during the playoffs are played in cold weather regardless. I'd love to see a Super Bowl in the snow, but that's just me.

Bring on the snow. Opens the door for Chicago and Green bay as well. Though could Green bay handle a SB?

As stated in the other thread, I don't care one way or other. To me a championship should be played in a totally neutral site with not outside effects. Since we still let New Orleans be a home game...then why not let cold weather also effect the game.

Well, I wouldn't want to watch a game like that, and it seems that a majority of the Outlaws wouldn't want to either.
Thought that was a bit premature being that only a couple had actually voiced an opinion....now with the poll added it looks like only a small minority of the Outlaws don't care for this....

(KFFL)Denver Broncos chief operating officer Joe Ellis said the Broncos would be interested in hosting a Super Bowl if the NFL decides to hold the game in a cold weather city more often, reports Mike Klis, of The Denver Post.

The top two place I would love to see the SB that has never had one is:
1. Chicago - Soldier Field - That would be awesome! This is a great stadium with fantastic history. Would be a great spot for SB 50.
2. Denver - Mile high city meets the SB. Would be a great venue.

I leave GB off not b/c I would not LOVE to see the SB there....but realistically GB could not handle the event IMO.

Hate the idea, more for the fact that the decision to host in NYC came down to NFL front office nepotism. If it had been Mile High, then I'd be confident the NFL truly believes cold weather Super Bowls can work.

However, the ultimate neutral zone would, IMO, be Hawaii. The NFL should take all that extra cash they have laying around, build a $2 billion super stadium that seats 125k, and use it to host the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl every year. Warm weather, not a huge risk of storms that time of year, plenty of hotels and things to do, and as an added bonus would greatly reduce the uber corporate element that's been taking over the Super Bowl of late.

Good idea, but unfortunately, the Japanese own Hawaii and they aren't that fond of American football.

The world series might fly, though.

Say what? Japan doesn't own hawaii, they have pwnd it before. But we own it, uh duh, its one of the states. Having the SB there is a great idea. Maybe even upgrade the Rainbows stadium and play there.

Yep. All about wanting it in NY..........

NFL Network had their top 10 "weather games" on this morning. They sucked. Only thing classic about them was that they were endured. I guess I don't get why people would want to watch players in conditions that didnt allow for the best performance.

Hawaii is a great idea..................
