Hey guys,
had my draft last night - 8 team league, we can keep one guy from our current teams roster for next years team.

I landed Johnathan Stewart as my 5th RB three picks after Ray Rice went. I told the guy who picked Rice that i was shocked he didn't take Stewart as a handcuff for his Deangelo Williams 1st round pick ... and he e-mailed me today offering me Rice for Stewart.

So the question is, Rice or Stewart? Who should i go with?

I bet I am in the minority here again...but I say trade for Rice. Especially if you have PPR scoring.

Rice for now is the starter. He will get plenty of rushing opportunities in Balt, and will get receptions as well.

Stewart is the RBBC as well as Rice. But he is hurt again, and the rookie Mike Goodson is turning heads. Stewart did great last year...even in RBBC. But I think the Achilles is more severe than they are letting on.

So I would go Rice.

A year ago I would have said Stewart without question. Now it's Rice without question. Though I like Stewart's fantasy value more if something were to happen to Williams.

I would go with Stewart in a non ppr league. The panthers have the best offensive line in football and D. Williams and Stewart will share 30 TDs this year. I could see Stewart getting 12- 16 TDS. Even is he improves just a little from last year he will get 12 TDs and 1000 yards.

Rice easily! A healthy RB that is leading the beast beats the heck out of an injured RB that plays second fiddle to DiWill.

allright gentlemen,
did the trade - if Stewart has 20 TDs now i'm breaking skulls haha!

I really wanted Rice in the draft and was pissed when he was taken 3 spots ahead, so i purposely drafted Stewart because i knew the other guy wanted Williams' handcuff and Stewart is solid. Glad i was able to flip him for Rice though, Westbrook is my favorite player and Rice looks alot like him.

Here are my Rbs now:
LT2
Jacobs
P Thomas
Lynch
Rice
Bradshaw

lovin that lineup

Your RBs look good. I still wouldnt of done the trade. Because if Dwilliams gets injured you just gave the other team the best back in the league. And plus you probably will not start Rice over LT2, Jacobs, or Thomas.

Negative.

The Panthers most reliable #2 back will be Mike Goodson, a guarentee to be sitting on the waiver wire. Stew is broke down.

 :yeahthat:

Stewart has not practiced since early August. I will honestly be surprised if he does not start on PUP. If he does, that means he can't be used til week 6.
