"Close Calls 2009" - A Sports Outlaw Exclusive
Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues and non ppr scoring.
Today's Match-up:
Carson Palmer vs Jay Cutler
Last Year's Stats:
Carson Palmer - 4 gms - 731 pa yds - 3 TD's - 4 Int's - 38 ru yds - 0 TD's
Jay Cutler - 16 gms - 4,526 pa yds - 25 TD's - 18 Int's - 200 ru yds - 2 TD's
Today's Match-up is between two QB's who have a lot to prove this season. One was involved in one of the biggest offseason trades in recent memory. Can Cutler lived up to the hype in Chicago where many see him as the answer to all their problems? Will he have the same success in Chicago as he did in Denver, or will the lack of weapons in the passing game catch up to him? The other one was one of the biggest disapointments early last season, then he suffered a season ending season. Well Palmer's elbow is healed (or is it?), Housh is gone, Coles is in, and COC.....well he's still COC. Palmer still has weapons, but will his line be stable enough to give him time to take advantage of it? Can Palmer rebound this year or are we just going to have to get used to the fact that he's not going to be the elite QB that many felt he once was heading to being. These are just some of the questions you will need to answer in today's close call.
