Newton, Dalton, Ponder, Gabbert, and now Yates. Except for Gabbert all of them have done pretty well for first year starters.

Your right have I been fairly impressed by all but Gabbert. Newton is just going crazy this year. Hopefully the rest of the team can pull it together for next season.

Yates turned in the most impressive win, in my opinion. Newton owns the stats with freakish abilities but can't turn it into Tebow time! lol! Dalton's had the toughest schedule and produced with his rookie wideout. AJ Green is my ROY. (that's says quite a bit about Dalton) Ponder has had the snot knocked out of him but gave the Pack a go, then the game.

When Cutler was starting :yellowlaugh:
Dalton above all looks like a great play caller and for his young age is very comfortable in the pocket. looking for great things next year from him and the Bengals. I agree RC about Green. Not really a surprise for me, I figured he would be great and Dalton only makes him better. Im not sold on Yates but am impressed none the less

Don't be a Hanie Hater....really...he's a stud...just easing into his role, doesn't want to disrespect Cutler but stepping in and blowing him away.

Looked just fine last year for a backup with a lack of experience. He didnt take the next step to serviceable some thought he would.

wow... now people are tellin me hanie is a stud... :wtf: i am pretty impressed with the rookies also, especially Newton. the others also, but remember we all got excited for ryan, flacco, freeman, etc....... etc.... not that ryan and flacco have been huge letdowns... just that their early success seems to have been duly adjusted for by NFL defenses... freeman, on the other hand, is done most likely
