What do you guys think he is going to do this season? I cant see Lavernas(?) Coles stealing the TDs that Housh had last season. So what do you expect from Henry, stat wise??

I honestly feel he is too talented to keep off the field. He should (doesn't mean will) push Coles into the slot in 3 WR sets which the Bengirls should be playing this season. He could very well post 80 grabs and 1,100 yards with 10 tds should Marv pull his head out of his 4th point of contact.

And to frame my response properly I am a diehard Steeler fan. So compliments are tough to come by for the Bengirls.

I agree with you.

Keep in mind something here though folks. When Housh was in Cincy, and Chad and Henry were there, Henry and Chad were outside, and Housh was in the slot. He was the target when a first down or key reception was needed. I see that happening with coles as well. At least I did. Henry is too good a talent to keep off the field. So he will get alot of time, and he will be targeted deep. So if you have a league that gives bonuses for long scores or passes, he is your man. But I don't see more than 3-4 receptions per game. I really think Coles will be more of a PPR target.

Thanx guys. I took Chris Henry in the 8th round. I thought it was a bit high (as did others in my league). But I traded my 9th round pick, and didnt pick till the end of the 10th round. But even though I took him a bit high I liked him better than any of the other WRs available at that pick.

Nothing like having a missing pick to make you reach a bit. But when you don't get to pick for two rounds I go for the player I like, instead of who others like. That is the point of drafting, getting the players you like. If they like other players better, well, let them go ahead and draft them themselves.

Its interesting you mention that the "others in your league" poo-poo'ed your pick of Chris Henry. I had the EXACT same reaction in my league when I reached for him in my 8th round....I "reached" for him because, as Coach Norm said, I wanted him. Having already gotten Anquain Boldin and DeSean Jackson, I liked the upside of Chris Henry in the 8th compared to a lot of the available Rookie wideouts or the Hixon/Nicks combo of Giants. As a WR3 I want Henry to deliver UPSIDE and breakout potential, which I tend to look for when going for my WR3....incidentally I was also able to nab Lance Moore in the 9th round (another upside guy that people are sort of polarized by).

Anyway...just had to chime in about "others". Let them go for theirs and weep when Chris gets 10 TD and 1K yards as my 3rd WR.

Incidentally we start 1qb,2rb,3wr, and a TE so I drafted 5 total WR :)

He scored another TD last night. The more I see him. The more I think hes heading for double digit TDs.

I am willing to bet that he does not score dbl digit tds. I just don't see it. I know people love him, but Carson is too injury prone and there are too many other weapons.

How about a friendly wager? Do you have a significant other? We can bet some naughty pictures of our spouses on this :D

If you don't get crap from your league mates about your picks then you're just not trying to win hard enough, IMO.

I think the prediction of 7-9 tds is definately attainable. I have him as my wr4 behind colston, roddy white, and derrick mason. I also reached for him but that is because of the amount of upside he brings. He could crack 10

What are these other weapons you speak of besides Ocho Cinco?

Maybe it's cause I've never been high on Coles...

as far as the other weapons besides coles and ocho... well i guess there really arent any lol. i just dont see the bengals passing attack regaining much of its old form... if they do its all ochocinco
