From cbssports.com,

WR Chansi Stuckey was traded from the Jets to the Browns as part of a package for WR Braylon Edwards. Stuckey will be reunited with former head coach Eric Mangini and assistant Brian Daboll, who now serves as the Browns' offensive coordinator. Both coached with the Jets through Stuckey's first two seasons.

It's hard not to feel sorry for Stuckey after this trade.
:hmmm: Why? He just became the #1 wr on the team. He will eventually that is. That an Massaquoi as the #2 might be good overall for Cle.

True...but then again....he wasn't getting any love in NY...and Cleveland really, really needs wrs.
38th overall in targets in the NFL, 12 behind Cotch, but 5 more than Keller. The problem was the 42% connection rate. He was part of the offense, just not a part that was able to click thus far. he also led the Jets in Redzone targets. The telling number here might be that Brad Smith got 2 last week and Stuckey zero for the first week yet.

Agree with Phic. The more I process this trade the more it makes sense to me. Stuckey should know most of Mangina's offense and could step in and produce at a greater level than he could in NY.

Well the way I look at it, adding another possession WR fits the scheme Vangina is running down there. Plus Stuckey can catch.

Well, you assume Massaquoi takes Edwards roll as the deep threat...and Stuckey fills in until Robiskie and others are ready.
