Berry was busted for DUI Saturday continuing the Lions off season stampede to the jail cell. That's a whopping 6 total arrest for members of the Lions this off season. He was arrested at 4:45 AM after hitting two parked cars and leaving the scene. Heads need to roll in Detroit. Hello! Is anyone in charge there?

GMs and coaches aren't babysitters during the off season. Has nothing to do with "someone being in charge'. Gonna fire Schwartz because some of his team makes stupid decisions when out drinking?

DUIs are hard to criticize an organization on. Most of the time just bad decision making, which is more age related than anything. Most of us have been guilty of this at some point in our youth. I know i was, but was fortunate enough to never get caught or cause harm to anyone. At this point in my life, no friggin way..............

I disagree "E." IMO the Lions have a discipline problem. Hit these guys hard enough in the pocketbook and you'll cut down on these problems.

The Lions may have a discipline issue, but this incident has nothing to do with team discipline. It's poor judgement on the part of a young man.

Everyone knows not to drink and drive. He will pay a high price and hopefully learn and be thankful he didn't hurt anyone and have to live with that. Nothing a coach could say would have mattered in this situation.

Niners Alden Smith was arrested for a DUI this off season. Should heads roll for that? Hell no. Not Harbaughs or Balkkes fault that Smith made a bad decision. I'm quite certain Smith knew what he did was wrong...........

Out of 53 players there's been 6 arrests in this off season. I don't care how you spin it, to me and there could be a generation gap issue here or something but to me, that shows a problem within the leadership of the team. Leadership starts at the top and so does lack of the same.

Again, I don't think DUIs show a lack of leadership. Bad judgement and despite the horrific potential consequences, it's not a malicious act that is thought out and a knowing act of defiance. Guy is out with buddies and doesn't have the common sense to call a cab or take a limo.

As I don't follow the Lions, I don't know all their crimes, but I don't think this incident is related to a lack of team discipline...............

I agree with Efactor on this. If you have to blame the organization, blame them for choosing questionable players, or for picking players with lack of judgement or maturity. But the fact remains, when a person gets into a car after drinking, it is their responsibility, not the teams or organization.

Now, I will say after 6 different incidents, the team may need to make a statement, by cutting a player or fining a player, or maybe some extra inside the practice abuse(ever run the gauntlet??? Multiple times??? Yikes!!). That may support the view they want this to end.

Sounds like you agree with me PhiCin, lol. Perhaps there's a misunderstanding on my view. I do not expect them to babysit the players and tuck them in at night as y'all seem to think. At my age I too know that unless a drunk person is forced to drive at gun point it's their own fault for getting behind the wheel. I do expect management to step up and shut down the enviroment that seems to be breeding these incidents. 6 arrests is alarmingly high out of 53 players. Something's wrong somewhere for this to be happening. I do agree that it well could be that they've chose "questionable players, or for picking players with lack of judgement or maturity." If that's the case it happened at the top.

No, not exactly.

I don't agree with punishing the team for players making stupid decisions. It comes down to individual player ownership to do the right thing.

I just think at some point, Detroit may need to make a "statement" to the players so they understand the need to make better decisions. Assuming that means a cut of a player or long suspension, that COULD be punishment for the team if it is a key player.
