Cause and Effect - NFL Injuries

Wanted to start a thread on teams that have had major injuries, and what the cause and effect of those injuries either are, or will be..

First up Dallas:
Romo out up to 10 weeks due to back injury - Dak Prescott (R) will start in his place. All in all this doesn't have to be that bad for Dallas, they have an incredible OL, and running game and stable of backs. Add to that Dez and Witten, and the young kid should have toys. He did okay against the Giants, but here is the key if you own Dallas pieces - the defense sucks. At least until they get all suspended players back - and Prescott isn't set up to light things up to win games. So they have to run, run alot and control the ball with short passes. Net, Rb and TE(safety blanket for Prescott) will be who to start from Dallas.

Second key injury - Teddy Bridgewater Qb Min - next in line.......

Okay first effect was the (IMO) stupid trade to get Bradford from Philly. They gave up a 1st and 4th(which can go up to a 2nd if they make playoffs) to get a not great Qb that costs way too much. That being said I know why. Hill is a great one or two game stop gap type Qb, but he could not carry this team for a whole season. Bradford has two years on his deal, so he will start eventually for Minny, and be the protection in case Bridgewater's injury lingers, or he is not back next year. Hill did an okay job and Minny won the game last week, but mostly due to the defense. Hopefully Bradford can make AP and Co more viable in the future.

Third Key injury - Keenan Allen Wr SD - next man up....
So, SD has always had, and as long as Rivers is breathing, always will have a solid passing game. No doubt that Allen was the intended #1 target this year, with #2 and on being split between Gates, Woodhead, Benjamin and Williams. My question is, who becomes the new focus now that Allen is done for the season due to his knee? I see Gates getting more involved, and Woodhead also staying very busy. I like Benjamin, and he had a great year with terrible Qb situation in Cle last year, so with Rivers, the sky is the limit for this kid. Rookie Williams also flashed, so only time will tell there.

I would lean heavily on Woodhead and Gates though, and then look to get a flyer on Bejamin, Williams and Hunter Henry(Gates eventual replacement?).

If you're managing defs, throw ....against.... Bradford in the loop.

Nailed it! Tyrell getting down field, but the trust is in Woodhead and Gates for redzone, though Williams is 6'4".

Beasley is a great ppr target with this injury. Either a #3 Wr or what the heck flex. Witten is gonna really pick up also. Great threads!

Well, so far so good for those injuries -
Minny got Bradford, who had one hell of a game against GB, Dallas beats divisional rival with rookie Qb showing okay, SD has Benjamin and Williams step up to be solid Wrs in place of Allen.

Now..
#4 - Tom Brady - granted not an injury, but a 4 game miss due to suspension. Have Garrapolo doing well, but now he has a shoulder injury, forcing them to go to Rookie Qb - this could be tough for NE.

#5 - Adrien Peterson - he is on crutches right now, and could not put any weight on his right leg - no report yet, but this does not look good. Missing starting QB, having a fragile back up.....no Peterson either....thank god for that def.

#6 - Danny Woodhead - had to be carried off the field, on a team that already lost their starting #1 wr in Keenan Allen - can this team keep surviving injuries?

#7 - Jonathan Stewart - significant Hammy pull, no idea if tear or not, just reports team is worried. They have Whitaker as an okay back up, finally time for Artis-Payne?

okay couple more...
# 8 - in the waiting for it to happen catagory - Arian Foster down with a groin pull or tear - no report yet on how severe
#9 - Abdullah of Detroit has a foot injury(not good for Rbs) and not sure how long he will be out.

#5 - Adrien Peterson - torn meniscus - out 4-6 months and placed on IR - this is a HUGE hit for Minnesota. You lose your starting Qb, and now your basic offensive driver in AP. Granted Bradford did well with the passing game, but can he stay healthy? looking to see if maybe Minny picks up one of the FA rbs out there.

#6 - Woodhead - Yikes you lose Allen and Woodhead......passing game takes two huge hits. Fortunately - Gates is still there, Williams and Benjamin have picked up slack. How much more can they take though?

#9 - Abdullah - Foot issue - on IR and out at least 6-8 weeks, maybe all season. Can the rookie team up with Riddick to make a running game for Detroit? Talking to Joique Bell on potentially coming back.

Foster and Stewart may not be as serious - Foster may play this week, Stewart only missing 2-3 weeks.
