Carolina Panthers RB Mike Tolbert to spend a year in the wings?

Sounds like when The Carolin Panthers grabbed RB Mike Tolbert it was more of a long range plan. Panther RB Johnathan Stewart is in the last year of his contract. While both parties would like like to come up with a contract extension this year but the Panthers spent a boatload extending the contract of RB DeAngelo Williams Tolbert may not see much action this year but could be the #2 RB next year if Stewart gets no deal and dropped. Not great news for Dynasty owners of Tolbert this year.

I see him as a non-factor this year unless there are some major injuries. But there could be some opportunites down the line, but also, who knows what will happen a couple years from now.

Honestly, I am torn here. If they use him as reported, which was how he was used in S.D., he could be a gain this year in PPR leagues. But only time will tell.
