Boldin should become Arizona's top contract priority on Wednesday, the team's official site reports. The Cardinals and linebacker Karlos Dansby are very unlikely to reach an agreement on a contract extension before Wednesday's deadline. That should mean that Dansby will serve as Arizona's franchise player for a second straight season and WR Anquan Boldin's contract situation will move to the top of the Cardinals' priority list. This is Dansbys' second stint as a franchise player which will make him a free agent next year. Unfortunately for Boldin, Arizona has very little salary cap room, so a new contract might not be feasible until after the 2009 season. Boldin is signed through 2010, but is unhappy with his money and has been vocal about it.
