According to ESPN tv, Tennessee has offered a 2nd rounder and a player, and have permission to start talking to Boldin's agent.

I can't believe the Eagles aren't all over this :banghead:

WOW, if you can get this kid for a 2nd rounder that is ROBBERY!!!

The Giants, Eagles, Titans....should all be over this.......no way I would trade him for that if I'm Zona....

The Lendale rumor is interesting, a 2nd and Lendale may work out well for both.

No no no!

Second Round Pick AND the soon to be expiring contract of Vince Young for Matt Leinart and Anquan Boldin. Everyone wins in that situation.

Yes and no. The draft pick isnt great, but you also have to sign the guy. Also, this isn't a 3rd or 4th year player hitting free agency. This is a man going into his 7th NFL season, and who has started 16 games twice, next highest total is 14 games, once. Double digit touchdowns, once.

I hate this term, but "in this economy" you have to think twice about investing that much into a guy like this.

I view Boldin as a nice receiver, but one that is being looked at my many as a "great" receiver, and he just isn't that.

I look at Boldin's production when Fitzgerald went down. In the first game, while teams were not prepared to adjust, he played well. the following two games, he was average, showing me that he was fitted well as a good #2 receiver, and an average #1.

Folks, we have seen the "Alvin Harper" types that put up very nice numbers beside a hall of fame caliber #1 (and yes, Fitzgerald looks like a hall of fame caliber receiver), only to fail when they go get the money. I see Boldin as this type of guy.

Do you think Boldin could survive as a great #1 in the right system? Or do you truly see him as a #2 anywhere.

I think he is a very good #2. I don't see him as a #1 anywhere.
Have you lost your mind, man!:nannie:
Has the WR position fallen that far?
How stupid, and I mean just Hillary Clinton stupid does Dallas look now?

Easily could have Boldin. Easy. With what they paid for that dude from detroit, it would be a done deal. and still had some money left over for a few snack crackers...

thought a link to Southern Culture on the Skids would be cool, but can't get the liink to post without the big ass video deally.

I would rather have Roy Williams. The price was too high for him, but it was an "in season" trade, when Dallas was trying to maneuver toward a potential Super Bowl. The price comes cheaper during the offseason.

Previously owned vehicles are cheaper than new vehicles. You don't buy a new Mustang. On the other hand you buy a new Rolls. The Mustang won't be worth the interest you pay on a five year loan in three years. But if you can't afford to buy a new Rolls, you sure as hell can't afford a used one.

Dallas thought they had a shot at the Super Bowl by adding Roy Williams with TO off his prescription drugs? Said TO, "They think I'm not enough of a receiver? I'll show them who's not enough". TO was already having a problem with not getting enough attention because Jason Witten is better than him.

And then they dump TO?

No, Mike. Dallas screwed up

Wow, I don't believe what I'm reading. I think Boldin is, quite frankly, the most underrated #1 receiver in the league. I love the guy, he's one of the best in the NFL.

IMO, he's in the top 5.

Andre Johnson
Larry Fitz
Randy Moss
Anquan Boldin
Steve Smith

That's my top 5, in that order.

We will see. Boldin will get his opportunity as the true #1 somewhere, most likely.
He's already been a true number one. In front of a pretty darn good number one
