He is the local boy from Army that was at the draft about 3 or 4 years ago dressed in his Army duds, and the crowd kept cheering for him. "USA USA USA" He got drafted by the Lions in the 7th round toward the end, then the Army decided he needed to finish his obligation. That would have been fine, but they were the ones who let him enter the draft in the first place. He had to stay in shape fior those two years then try to make the Lions. He succeeded and even played the last three games active last year for theLions, spending the rest of the time on thier practice squad. He was waived this preseason and caught on with the Colts, then released from them and signed onto the Cheifs PS. This is not a big deal really but it is a neat deal for our little town who support him and his brother Jeremy who is a para olypian who one two gold medals in Bejing during the last olympics. He only has one leg. They had an older brother who rode bulls. There was a pretty good article written 4 or 5 years ago about these young men. Here is another from last year.
