  • PSX reports New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush is on the hot seat. While there was much discussion among the media late in the 2009 season about whether the Saints would bring Bush back at a salary of $8 million, HC Sean Payton and the front office believe he's worth it. Bush has 32 touchdowns in 52 games and has five more scores in five postseason games. He has 3,874 total yards from scrimmage — divided almost equally between rushing and receiving — in 52 regular-season games. The sticking point is that RB Pierre Thomas, who was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2007, has 1,670 rushing yards and 16 TDs and will make just more than $1.6 million this season unless he gets the long-term deal he's been seeking this off-season. Regardless, Bush will likely have to be a little more productive this year since he's due a salary of $12 million in the final year of his contract in 2011.
  • -- Robert Meachem Expected to be Bigger Threat this Season --
    Sun Jul 18, 2010 --from FFMastermind.com
  • PSX reports New Orleans Saints WR Robert Meachem, a first-round draft pick in 2007, showed some promise in 2008 before breaking through with 45 receptions for 722 yards and nine TDs last season. Flashing the speed and run-after-the-catch ability that he was known for at the University of Tennessee, he averaged 16.0 yards a catch with 11 receptions of 25 yards or more — including scoring plays of 54 and 53 yards. As the third wide receiver on the field with WR Marques Colston and WR Devery Henderson, Meachem is expected to become a bigger threat this season after becoming a favorite of QB Drew Brees last off-season.

I'm back :)
what about lance moore, who is finally healthy? henderson is so on-again, off-again (this would be an "off" year coming up), i get nervous about his production.

i think i prefer moore, and meachem, but who knows? bush and thomas seem to swap games as well. it's always hard to tell with this team.

I wonder about Moore as well. I think the ONLY reason Meachem broke out was due to Moore's injuries. As stated by EC, henderson has never been consistant.

Still, if I can put in a late round flyer...I will try to nab Meachem
