I think their problem is that they're used to crashing into each other at high speeds, and it carries over from the field to the street.
General carelessness and invincibility syndrome with these guys. Typical side product of youth, big money, and hero worship. Where the rest of us have to worry about our insurance or repair costs, I don't think these guys really concern themselves with those things.
