Got this last night from a gentleman who is an uncle of a starter on the Buffalo Bills defense. The guy was also driving a very nice SUV registered to this starter:
Tim Tebow was to have been the opening day starter in Buffalo. On draft day, Jim Kelly blabbed to the wrong person about personally training Tebow, and the Bills plans to trade up into the bottom of the first round to get him. Doogie got wind of it and that is why Denver moved back up at all costs to get Tebow. In that offense, I really wonder what might have been.
Barring injury, Brian Brohm will be the opening day starter at QB. The Bills DO NOT forsee him as a long term answer, merely the best of what they have on the roster. He would have been the #2 had the Bills got Tebow.
Marshawn Lynch will be traded before the start of the season. The word is the Bills will hold him for value and wait for a training camp injury, but they are as of now 100% committed to being rid of him before September 1st. Lynch was to have initially been traded to the San Diego Chargers during the temporary Sproles foray into free agency.
CJ Spillar is going to be returning kicks for sure, possibly punts as well this year, regardless of his playing status at RB.
Trent Edwards is in danger of being cut. He has to prove "something" to Chan Gailey to stay on the roster, and it apparently is going to have to be something good.
