Buffalo Bills fire everyone in sight

ESPN reports the Bills have fired interim coach Perry Fewell and the entire coaching staff.

The Bills were 3-4 under Fewell

Rumors are flying that Cowher is back in the picture there. That would be huge for Buffalo

I saw this after I posted....guess ESPN dont know whats up.

Funny enough, the story you are linked to is titled Buffal fires entire staff still on the mobile site.

Very interesting twist. I wonder if Cowher was coming, changed his mind...and now Buffalo is once again looking?

I couldnt see Cowher going there, or any quality coach. Buffalo is the Texas Tech of the NFL right now, minus the success.

Something needs to change.

3 yrs ago I picked Buffalo to be the team to beat in 3 years. They had a young and talented offfensive line and their Defense was deep and already playing well. Edwards was gonna mature nicely and Lynch would be a stud.

I can't remember exactly what happened to screw-up their O-Line but it never gelled and the D just got progressively worse. Edwards was a flop and Lynch is a punk.

Can't blame the staff for Lynch, but the other 3 areas seemed to have promise under good management.

Injuries is what happened. I actually follow Buffalo quite a bit, since my wife's folks and family are up in Niagara falls area.

They drafted some very solid looking young guys...but they fell apart. Mike Williams was a first round bust. Then the lower drafted LOT was a stud, then got attitude and wanted more money and got traded to Philly. They are still trying to catchup there...but did get some solid guard and center play now.

As for recievers...they have issues. Hardy has not panned out. Owens and Evans are FAs this year. Nelson looks solid as a TE, as does Schouman(sp?).

Rb - F.Jackson IS the real deal. Great reciever and runner. Also a decent blocker on blitz pickup. Lynch is a one trick pony...with a record that could cost him a long suspension if he gets stupid again. I said it earlier this year...to me it is telling that they re-signed Jackson....but have not extended Lynch.

Defense is young and improving. Injuries killed the secondary this year. Once they get back and healthy they could be a top flight secondary. DL may have issues though as their best end is threatening retirement now.

Still, if they can keep Evans or even Owens...and get a decent Qb. They could contend in the AFC east again.
